The Story Behind the Name

The story behind the name O2MORNY is one of the most interesting and unexpected parts of our journey.

In January 2017, we were thinking about choosing a name for the company. One of the founders was sitting in a café with his friends, talking about the idea behind the company and its goal.

We wanted to tell our customers: "Ask, wish, and we are at your service."

While they were discussing the idea, a young man working at the café approached them and asked: "What will you drink?"

In Egyptian Arabic, the expression sounded like "O2morny" — meaning "Command me" or "I'm at your service."

One of the founders immediately stood up and said loudly:

"O2morny."

And that was the moment the name was born.

Behind the name was a simple and unexpected encounter with a young man working in a café. From that moment, the name became O2morny.com.
