The 1941 movie Citizen Kane had a profound effect on perfumer Bruno Jovanovic, who wanted to create a scent based on the title character's mysterious "Rosebud" reference. Enter Amouage Rose Incense, a dramatic unisex fragrance with deep amber and floral notes that retain the mystique of Orson Wells' iconic film. The tangy resin-based top notes of olibanum and elemi combine with Indian ink to draw you in, engulfing you in the amber tones. Next is the heart of the perfume, musky suede blended with flowery rose that gives the scent its name. Spicy and woody notes end the fragrance, with cedar and sandalwood combining with earthy myrrh in the base notes before finishing off with a kiss of vanilla.
